We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Empower Youth 4 Food (EY4F) Video Competition, themed ‘Harvesting Tomorrow - Youth in Agriculture’!

After reviewing an incredible array of inspiring submissions, our esteemed panel of judges, Ingrid Korving, Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, Truong Ba Tung, Lode Verdonk & Minh Anh Tran Ng, have selected the top three.

🥇First place goes to Nguyen Hong Minh, Pham Le Nhat Tan, Ma Hiep, and Nguyen Ngoc Ming Thu, an enthusiastic group of students from Can Tho University who submitted a very insightful video on climate-smart agriculture! Their video focused on innovative strategies to minimize the impact of climate change on agriculture and ensure food security for future generations. They also interviewed Nguyen Huu Tai, a High-Tech Agriculture major, who shared his inspiring work on growing quinoa in the Mekong Delta and finding ways to improve farmers’ livelihoods in the region.

🥈 Second place goes to an incredible team of bright minds from Can Tho University’s Environmental Resource Management program: Le Thanh Duoc, Le Yen Thy, Nguyen Duc Trung, Tran Nguyen Hoanh Long, and Vu Xuan Loc! Their innovative video introduced a flooding warning system designed to alert communities about urban flooding risks. This smart tool measures water levels, water quality, temperature, and more, and can even be applied to fields like fisheries!

Kieu Oanh is a communications student at the University of Greenwich and her creative video showcased innovative plant-based solutions, such as vegan leather, proving how agriculture and fashion can partner for a sustainable future. Huge congratulations, Kieu Oanh, for your video and innovative ideas!

A big thank you for this motivating and forward-thinking video! Be sure to watch the videos and get inspired!
