About Rabo Foundation

Rabo Foundation, established in 1974 as Rabobank's social fund, empowers disadvantaged communities, particularly smallholder farmers in developing countries and marginalized groups in the Netherlands. Operating globally, it promotes economic, social, and ecological progress by providing loans, technical assistance, and partnerships to farmer cooperatives, agribusiness SMEs, and social enterprises. In Vietnam and Indonesia, Rabo Foundation collaborates with local partners to strengthen agricultural cooperatives.

Call for Loan Proposals: Investing in Climate-Smart Agriculture in Indonesia and Vietnam

Rabo Foundation welcomes applications for financial support from eligible organizations. We provide funding globally to create lasting positive impacts on the economy, environment, and society. Our goal is to help organizations working with small farmers in developing countries by giving them access to funding, knowledge, and networks. This support helps farmers become more independent and produce crops in a more sustainable way.

Rabo Foundation supports farmer-focused organizations in Indonesia and Vietnam to promote self-reliance and sustainable rural development. It backs innovative initiatives in climate-smart agriculture that increase productivity and incomes, build resilience to climate change, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Key partners include farmer cooperatives, agriculture-focused SMEs (including tech-enabled businesses), and microfinance institutions serving the agricultural sector.
