Empower Youth4Food – Vietnam Chapter | Communication Intern
Location: Vietnam (remote)
Duration: April - June 2025 (3 months, with a possibility to extend)
Commitment: Part-time (4-8 hours per week), flexible working hours

Background
Southeast Asia faces significant challenges in modernizing food production and ensuring food security. Many young people perceive agriculture as outdated, leading to a decline in the number of farmers and impeding the adoption of new technologies. This highlights the urgent need for initiatives like the Empower Youth4Food (EY4F) Campaign to engage and empower youth in shaping sustainable food systems aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The EY4F Vietnam Chapter is dedicated to coalition-building and youth inclusion through four main pillars:

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative Communication Intern to support the Empower Youth4Food Campaign. This is an exciting opportunity for students or recent graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in communications and social media while contributing to a meaningful cause. This position is fully remote, with a commitment of 1-2 days per week. You will be part of a dynamic team based in Jakarta, but applicants must be based in Vietnam. A stipend will be provided for your contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies for the campaign

• Create engaging content for social media platforms and the website

• Collaborate with the team to design campaign materials and promotional assets

• Conduct research to enhance outreach and engagement

• Translate content for the EY4F channels from English into Vietnamese

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Native Vietnamese speaker with advanced proficiency in English

• Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Squarespace, etc.)

• Creative mindset with the ability to design content using Canva

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

• Passion for youth empowerment, food security, and sustainability is a plus

Internship Benefits

• A stipend of EUR 200 per month
