With the United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) announced for September 2021, youth worldwide are raising their voices. We want you to be able  to connect and convene in order to find answers together on Food Systems transformation! Not only towards the UNFSS, but also towards related summits of 2021 (e.g. COP15 CBD, COP26 and Nutrition 4 Growth).

Therefore, the online platform ‘Future Food Heroes’ is being launched!

The platform aims to facilitate youth-led action and gather input towards the UNFSS. Therefore, the platform enables you to:

●     Expand your network: get in touch with young leaders at all levels to drive transformative change for sustainable food systems. Meet people from different perspectives of the food chain, you wouldn’t meet otherwise!

●     Get up to date: the platform is a place to share upcoming events, information and opportunities.

●     Take part in a multidisciplinary dialogue.

●     And most importantly: help transform our food systems by providing input for the UNFSS!

Evi Vet and Eva Koffeman, the Dutch UN Youth Representatives on Food and Biodiversity, are attending the UNFSS this year, to represent the voice of the youth. These youth representatives are collecting opinions and ideas of young people. The input they gather is being discussed at international conferences with politicians and policy makers, such as the UNFSS. Make sure your voice is being represented by getting on the platform and taking part in discussions!

The focus of the platform is both Dutch youth and international youth, including scholars, students, young academics, young professionals and entrepreneurs. In addition, stakeholders from different fields (government, private sector, research and education institutes, NGOs) are involved to support youth initiatives, engage youth in their activities and initiatives, and facilitate open dialogue. The platform is being launched this year to galvanise your voices for the various major events taking place this year - though the intention is for the platform to continue in 2022 as well!
