The Launch of Empower Youth 4 Food - Vietnam Chapter!

On 19 March 2024 we were excited to have the launch of the Empower Youth 4 Food Campaign - Vietnam Chapter in Hanoi, Vietnam! Our campaign, which spans from 2024 to 2025, seeks to transform the perception of farming and agricultural careers among the youth. In Southeast Asia, the youth often regard agriculture as outdated and lacking in opportunities for a successful future. This campaign aims to shift this viewpoint by showcasing agriculture in Vietnam as a contemporary, dynamic sector that incorporates advanced technology and promotes a healthy lifestyle, thereby engaging young people and encouraging them to see its potential. Supported by various stakeholders, we aim to make farming more attractive to the younger generation and secure a sustainable food supply for Vietnam's future.

The launch was held during the Netherlands Economic Mission to Vietnam, occurring amidst the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Vietnam. More than 140 business entrepreneurs joined this mission, led by prominent figures such as Ms. Christianne van der Wal (Minister of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality), and Ms. Ingrid Thijssen (President of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers).

During the Empower Youth 4 Food Launch, we also introduced two enthusiastic ambassadors, Chao Thi Yen and Do Duong Van Thanh, who serves as the faces of the EY4F Campaign and Community!
